Exam Scheduled for NVS Class 6th Admission 2025
The JNV Selection Test (JNVST) for the academic session 2025-26 is split into two phases:
- Phase 1: Scheduled for Saturday, 12th April 2025, at 11:30 A.M. for certain states and districts.
- Phase 2: Scheduled for Saturday, 18th January 2025, at 11:30 A.M. for the remaining states and districts.
Who Can Apply for NVS Class 6th Admission 2025 ?
To be eligible for the JNVST, you need to meet the following criteria:
- Age Requirement:
- You must be born between 1st May 2013 and 31st July 2015.
- Residency: You must be a resident of the district where the JNV is located.
- Educational Background: You should be studying in Class V during the academic session 2024-25 in a Government, Government-aided, or recognized school in the same district.
- Class V Exam: You must have passed the Class V exam.

Exam Structure of Navodaya vidhyalaya Admission 2025
The JNVST for Class VI is designed to test your overall aptitude and knowledge. It consists of three main sections:
- Mental Ability Test (MAT): This section includes non-verbal questions to measure your general mental functioning.
- Arithmetic Test: This includes questions based on the syllabus of Classes III, IV, and V.
- Language Test: This section tests your reading comprehension and understanding.

Admit Card of NVS Class 6th Admission 2025
The admit cards will be available on the application portal before the exam. You can download it for free. Remember to bring your admit card to the examination center on the day of the test.
Result Declaration of NVS Class 6th Admission 2025
The results are expected to be announced as follows:
- March 2025: For Summer-bound JNVs.
- May 2025: For Winter-bound JNVs.
The results will be displayed at various locations including the JNV, District Education Office, District Magistrate Office, and the Deputy Commissioner of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti of your region. You can also check the results on the NVS website www.navodaya.gov.in. Provisionally selected candidates will be informed via SMS on their registered mobile numbers and also through speed post.
After Selection
If you are provisionally selected, you will need to present all relevant original certificates at the time of admission. Your selection will only be confirmed after the verification of these documents. The admission process for the session 2025-26 will be completed by 31st December 2025.
Additional Information
- Migration Policy: Students from Hindi-speaking states might be required to spend one academic year in JNVs of non-Hindi-speaking states in Class IX and vice versa.
- Reservation: There are specific reservation policies for SC/ST, OBC, and Divyang (disabled) candidates. Ensure you have the required certificates during admission.
- Rural Candidates: If you are applying under the rural category, you need to provide a certificate showing that the schools you attended for Classes III, IV, and V are located in rural areas.
